Joshy isms

Joshy is a little joy machine. He oozes it (most of the time anyway!). He is so excited about life and playing with friends and seeing new things. He loves Dora the Explorer. A few months ago he loved the movie cars and watched it over and over, but he won't watch it anymore. Josh LOVES trains too. His best friends name is Joe and he wants to play with every day. Going to the park is the BEST thing ever.

He is a super picky eater. I don't know how he has any energy with the amount of food he eats--mostly sugar. I try to get him to eat good things, but he would rather not eat AT ALL then to eat healthy stuff. (I have tried to wait it out).

Here are a few things. I am going to try to add to them as he says them so I can have a record.

We’ve been working with Josh to help him stop saying No so much. He has picked up on it. He wanted me to open some lotion and I told him No. He said emphatically. “No Mom! Don’t say me “NO!”, Say me “Yes”.

Last night at Family Home Evening was the first time he really started to sing. He usually just listens. But he loves, Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam. We alway sing Popcorn Popping and he did the actions, but when we sang Jesus Wants me for a Sunbeam, he said most of the words a little after us. It was the sweetest thing.

Today Ceci was talking about her friend who left for his mission this morning. Joshy piped up and said, “I go be missionawee some day.”

4-21-11 A few weeks ago Brian started to tell Josh, "Love you Tons"! Brian was a little confused because Josh kept sticking out his tongue when he'd say that. I had to explain that Josh thought he was saying, "Love You Tongue".

4-21-11 We just went to the mall for the first time to try to watch a movie with Josh. We lasted about 20 minutes. He would rather play. We rode on a little train in the mall, saw the animals in the pet store and played at the little play place. Joshy is GREAT with other kids. He gets right in there and says HI! and then they run off to play.
