Helicopters, Shakespeare and Josh

Friday evening, Brian and Tyler were finishing the rock wall on the side of our house. After it had been up for less than an hour, LeAnne climbed to the top. Brian had her completely strapped in and anchored etc. BUUUUUUUT, Tyler was holding the rope and he let it go just as she put her weight on it and she fell to the bottom!!!!! Her legs hit first and then she hit her hip and tailbone. She couldn't get up and was in a lot of pain. We didn't know if she had broken her back or what. We called 911 and about 3 minutes later, we heard the sirens coming. The fire department guys checked her out and put her on a stretcher. They didn't know if she had internal injuries. Since it was during rush hour, they decided to call the helicopter. We saw the helicopter coming and whisk her off.
Marilee and Bronson came over to give LeAnne a balloon and flower. She wasn't here, so I took a picture to show her later.

Brian drove to the hospital and met her there. She got exrays, Cat scans, exams, etc and everything is fine. The next day, she was sore coming up and down the stairs, but other than that she was perfectly fine.

It is hard to put into words how profoundly grateful I feel for her safety. Every day we pray for safety in a general way and those prayers were answered that day. She could have been paralyzed or broken bones, or had internal injuries, but nothing happened. It could have changed all of our lives in a terrible way. So I keep feelings waves of gratitude and relief for her protection. It was one of the biggest blessings.
Tyler played Puck in a Midsummer Night's Dream Dec. 8th and 9th. It was with a homeschool group that meets every Monday. Because the children were 6 years old to 15 years old, I didn't have much hope that it would be very good, but WoW!!!! It was actually so amazing!! They only practiced about 10 times, but they did a great job.

Tyler did a great job as Puck. Many of the parents said he was a natural and lit up the stage. He didn't have as many lines as some of the other kids (thank goodness!!), but they had him come out last when we were applauding everyone.

We are super duper excited because he is going to audition for a part in the Liken movie, Jonah and Whale. It will be filmed in Utah. We LOVE the Liken productions and it would be so fun to be part of it. I DO NOT want him to try acting as a career because I do not want him in that environment, but I think this would be a testimony building experience.
He loved his costume (which I made, of course :). He felt pretty cool in it. Below is a picture after the bows in the play. The costumes look pretty good for a small production.
Here's our funny baby. He is sleeping great in the morning and night. He even takes a few afternoon naps. What a relief. He is a great natured baby. Whenever we are out in public, he gets tons of attention because he is so little --and pretty darn cute. He usually rewards the person with a huge smile. He weighs about 10 lbs. right now. He is still in some New born clothes, but they are getting too small.

Daddy and I have fun just staring at Josh and making him smile. It is very rewarding!!

I am so glad that LeAnne is okay! How awful! But that is quite a story!

I am SOO excited for Tyler to try out for the Liken shows. I love them! They are such great shows. And he would be GREAT!

And finally- Gosh I love that Josh! SOOOOOOO adorable. I am so happy he is part of the family, and what a lucky boy to have such a great set of parents and big brother!
